CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Coach Maurice Shitsama - Sports Department
Sports activities help to develop learners in various aspects. It also helps to raise the self-esteem of these learners since they find pleasure in discovering their outstanding abilities in multiple dimensions.
1. Sports Day:
This is normally done in 1st Term of every year.
2. Swimming Gala:
This is normally done in 2nd Term of every year. However, COVID-19 came and the Ministry of Education halted swimming activities for a while to curb the spread of the pandemic.
3. Houses:
Consolata School has evenly distributed its learners in four different competitive Houses: Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. Throughout the year these houses compete against each other for points as each of them strives for victory. This makes them participate enthusiastically in all sports activities.
4. Awards:
During the annual sports day and the swimming gala, our learners are normally awarded gold, bronze and silver medals for position 1, 2 and 3. Certificates of participation are also given to these sports champions.
5. Facilities:
Physical Education has a unique role to play in the education of children. This role is two-fold; the learners develop and maintain an optimum level of well-being and enhanced self-esteem and cooperative behaviour. It is principally an enjoyable and satisfying experience for every child.
